My Dream
When I was young, I dreamed of playing basketball for the Los Angeles Lakers. I believed that was my calling. It wasn't until I reached high school that I realized that the NBA was highly unlikely. Aware that education is key to success, I kept my grades relatively high. Though my resume was decent, I had no idea what I wanted to do in life. I applied to Emory University and was fortunate to get accepted. Upon commencing college, I was still 100 percent undecided. While developing this auto ethnography, I coincidentally began to find myself. I realized that I have a new dream.
I dream of being a doctor of sports medicine. Sports completely surround my life. I adore every aspect of physical competition and am willing to watch nearly any sport. Thus, I being a doctor of sports medicine is ideal for me. Though, the hill is steep I am determined more than ever to climb it. Doing this project put life into perspective. One often does not realize how important a job is to the well being of yourself and the ones around you.
